The Wonder Soiree

On Friday, November 7, inside the historic building that once housed the Old Dairy Farm Depot and is now the Foreign Correspondents’ Club, our girls from 4A, Alena Chan Wai Yan and Adeeba, recited their poem "Blooming into Myself" in front of 90 guests invited by Inspiring Girls. The event showcased how they "shine in their own light," as noted by Board Member Carmen Chiu.

 

Later that evening, Serena Kwok On Yau from 3A and Janice Ng Yan Lam from 3D, the young poets behind the poem "My Cicatrix," proudly presented their work and explained their inspirations to the guests.

 

What made the guests ‘curiouser and curiouser’ is how the course instructor Lilli Chung ignited the love for poetry in the hearts of our girls and how the organizing committee of the event “The Wonder Soiree” worked magic in transforming a historical site into a wonderland.
